Actually in spite of obesity I think a drive up drug store is a smart move. Consider for a moment who it is that often buy prescription medication, the sick and the elderly. It only makes sense to have a drive through. So yes to this but lets make the fast food patrons walk!

Unfortunately, society wants everything faster and easier. We seem to be living in the fast lane for some reason. It seems like we never have enough time to do all the things we wish to do. And in many ways that contributes to the problem with obesity.

I'm heading to the gym today at 10:15 am. Why not join me.

BTW, Portland was just rated the city with the highest level of biking-to-work people in the US.

When I read your post title on Twitter, I thought maybe McDonald's or Wendy's decided to start a pharmacy business. Would be so convenient to get your fries and anti-obesity drugs in one order! In fact, maybe you'd get anti-obesity fries?

I think this is an urban planning as well as individual decision issue though. I've never owned a car, but this is only possible because I've always lived in big cities. In sprawly places like Houston or Dallas, you can't really get anywhere on foot.
