For the uninitiated to Haruki Murakami, A Wild Sheep Chase is the first book in a two part series. I have read all of his books and many of them twice. A Wild Sheep Chase 3x.
If you’re gathering ideas for summer reading make a wise decision and try out some Murakami.
He’s got a great website too.

If you’ve been to the doctor you’ve been poked and prodded and asked, “does this hurt?, how about this, does that hurt?”.
The doctor watches for a grimace and listens for a groan or shrieking complaint.
Right now I’m wondering if the oil companies are poking and prodding the American consumer to see how high prices can go before they grimace and shriek.
What do you think? Do you think the oil companies are trying to determine a “decision point” for this summer’s gasoline prices?

Just started in on reading this book by David Bolchover about “life” at the office.
Are you one of the millions who work in a Novocaine fogged office, passing the time in absurdly wasted ways?
If so…SAVE YOURSELF and run like like hell away from it!! Or at least read this book first and decide if it’s a close enough biography of your work-life.

The Ishikawa or “Fishbone” Diagram provides a useful problem-solving template for considering a variety of possible causes.
The end-result or problem is in the box to the far right and the potential causes on the small bones.
The large bones represent major areas of investigation.
The diagram help a problem solving facilitator collect and organize a group’s ideas. Each idea can be investigated and crossed off the list until the root cause is identified.
Here is an example and a blank template for your use. Any questions or comments? Let me know. Ishikawa Diagram.ppt
